PRELIM -Statement of Intent
I intend to produce the front cover and contents page of a fashion magazine. My magazine is targeted at 14-18 year olds that will be interested in fashion. The language that will be used will be a very unique type that will be different to real magazines. The camera shots used on the front cover will be either a close up or a medium shot that will mainly focus on the type of fashion this magazine is based on. This will also make the model look as if she is trying to communicate with the reader from her angle of gaze. The outfit that the model will be wearing on the cover will be from what the audience preferred to see when they answered a few questions on my survey. This will give me a little confidence that my target audience will definitely read my magazine as it’s what my audience wants to see.
My magazine front cover will have a very simple font that will mainly have upper case letters. The name of magazine is La Moda which means fashion in English. The font used on my magazine cover is san serif which makes it look less formal which gives the magazine the vibe of an informal magazine that’ll hopefully catch a reader’s attention. I like how I made a very simple word sound catchy and unique which will make my magazine stand out.
As for my research, I had made a survey for people to fill out and give me their honest opinions as it was anonymous. This helped me with the magazine as it will give me a better understanding of what 14-18 year olds want to see on a magazine. This is my statement of intent and I hope it’ll catch my audience attention

PRELIM - Introduction and Initial Ideas

Hi, my name is Anita and welcome to my blog. This blog will consist of my work during GCSE Media Studies. We are currently studying magazines and our brief is to design a magazine front cover and a contents page about fashion for 14-18 years. I have been given the chance to create this from my choice which will feature items and information from my own perspective. I am very excited to start creating the front cover and contents page as I could be able to relate to it since it is a fashion magazine.
